Release, and climb on.

Imagine this: your spirit is young and agile. The spirit you is joyfully playing on an extensive play ground situation, and you’re having the time of your life. You attempt to play on a set of monkey bars. You move up the yellow steel stairs. You take your right hand to the first bar. You think to yourself, “that was smooth”. Then, you take your left hand and grab the next bar. Your feet are now hanging in the air. Finally, you take your right hand again and attempt to grab the next bar. Your reach was successful. In your heart you are excited to move forward. You are excited to see what you can do on this here monkey bar set-up. However, somehow, you are having a difficult time releasing the left hand a second time.

release– verb| allow or enable to escape from confinement; set free.

Testimony:

Last week I spent the day in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a nice day. I got to connect with friends I have not seen in a while. I just wanted to go against the grain, so I drove up, or down (not quite sure) 85. While I was there, I went to this Indian restaurant, which was also great. They had many vegan options for the days I’m vegan, but I digress. Obviously, I had a lot on my mind, as I always do, and finally I was able to journal my thoughts. While journalling it was revealed to me that the reason my crown gets heavy is because I allow thoughts of my past as well as preconceived notions about how I would like my life to go to saturate and cloud my mind and sometimes my judgement. Don’t get me wrong, I make a serious attempt to move forward in my life and to do the things I was called to do, but I still felt like for a while something was holding me back.

Then these medicinal words were revealed to me in my writing, “When you finally let go of any preconceived notions of what your life could be or should be or would be before you fell in love with you, before you got saved, before you found the light of God within you, then you will have the extra hand to embrace what is waiting for you. As of now, you are on a monkey bar…one hand on a bar behind you and the grip is strong. One hand you have released on to the next; however, fear, doubt, distractions, “the devil”, fuckboys, mean boys, confused boys, social media, half-full glasses, your comfort zone, and old bad habits, keep you from releasing that bar behind you.

Yet, until you release that hand you will never see what life can be for you. You won’t be able to see what healthy love can do for your life. In other words, let the distracting thoughts of the past, lingering doubt, and preconceived notions go…and see…dare to see…dare to try…dare to be who you are destined to be, just by letting go once and for all of the past and the distractions of the present. You can free yourself and fly forreal. Let those old things go. Stop holding on.”(Philippians 3:12)

Break it down, B:

Faith is real. Faith is real. Faith is real. Comfort zones are cute, they really are. YOUR idea of your life is really cute, it really is, but what God has for you, for us….is exceedingly beautiful. What God has for us is…. incomprehensibly abundant. On the other hand, the thing about faith is, we won’t see it until we completely release control and surrender our lives 100 percent to God. I realized I was guilty of being a standing on the fence ass believer. My actions reflected my faith in God’s promises, yet my thoughts reflected the opposite. Although I prayed for God’s will, I kept my own will in my mind. However, in #prosperity2017 and beyond, riding the fence won’t do. It is time to be bold. We do this by releasing everything we were holding on to..write it out…cry it out..shout it out…walk it out, however, and allow God to take control. The universe has more in store and the merchandise will allow us to soar. We can soar with love as our wings, the ancestors as our wind, and the creator as the pilot. Faith and release will open the flood gates of prosperity especially because what God can provide is greater than what we can design on our own as well as what we have been through in the past.
